Home Again Home Again Jiggity Jig

New York was amazing, but exhausting. Paula got her paper done. I learned tons of stuff from my cohorts at the conference. We had terrific New York experiences.

My staff did really great without me. I love having such competent people do my job while I’m gone. But I still came back to tons of work. But I kept up with my email and phone message while I was away so at least that wasn’t an issue.

My boss had a spam attack. I’d never experienced anything quite like it. 2000 emails with 50000 in line to be delivered. The best thing was I did nothing to fix it. Yup, you guessed it. Those great people that work for me found the problem, troubleshot (is that a word?) the solution and applied the fix. Now spam isn’t a problem. We still get it but only one or two.

Paula and I are going to see Zhivago this Sunday at the La Jolla Playhouse.

This is a Broadway show in a Pre-Broadway run. We have a lot of those in San Diego. Some successful (Into the Woods, The Jersey Boys, The Full Monty) some not so much (Floyd Collins, Dracula, Jane Eyre) but at least we get to see them first. This one doesn’t have very good buzz but we get to see it anyway for free. Paula is speaking on a panel for the show with the subject of History in Musical Theatre. She’s getting so many great gigs. She’s sure qualified for it.

Had a great e-conversation with sister Cheryl today regarding their eminent visit to San Diego. Really looking forward to seeing those people again. I hope I’ve convinced them to start the trip at Oubliette. No one in the family has seen it yet and I’d love the opportunity to show it off—besides its just so wonderfully relaxing.
