Paula is in Oxford!
She's giving her paper at the very prestigiuos Oxford Round Table. I had too many shows to miss so I couldn't go along with her. She prepared really well. She had one of her students help her by creating an animation to go along with her paper. When she returns, we'll get the vid on the blog along with the paper so you can see exactly why she was the hit of the conference. I set her up with AOL Instant Messenger so we can IM across the world. It's been great to hear about all the great things she's seeing and doing.
Sorry it's been so long since you heard from me. My computer (lovingly named Lapdance) will not navigate on the net. It connects. I can ping and I can reach my default page, but that's it. I can't go anywhere once I'm on. Needless to sayI haven't been able to blog since it crapped out on me. I like to think that I'm pretty good at fixing an ailing computer but this one is escaping me. A very large part of my problem is the fact that I'm too lazy once I get home to deal with the deep troubleshooting that I would have to do to fix it.
So I brought my work computer home with me this evening. Mostly so that I can comunicate with Paula while she is on the other side of the world, but while I've got it I can also do the blog thing.
So guess what show cancelled? That's right Barbie. It was a show that was a bit on the edge. I first learned that it wasn't going to Tucson. That made me think, uh oh. Just a couple of weeks later we got the word that the tour was cancelled altogether and that it wasn't coming to San Diego. Oh well, there's plenty of things to do and stuff to see in San Diego even without a show at the Civic Theatre. I'm sure we'll still have a kickin time with our Carson City visitors.
